Standard Scaffold initially provided temporary hoarding structures to pour concrete pads for equipment placement at site during winter. Temporary structures exceeded 60’ in width and maintained a constant internal ambient temperature of greater than 8C.

Subsequently, Standard was awarded additional work to provide scaffold access to install the equipment and piping at height. The current project includes installing continuous scaffold to allow for installation of large diameter piping from the north tank farm to the south end of the project site.

Insulation support has been provided as required, including direct services to Kinder Morgan. All work on this site has been successfully completed following a unit rate pay-for-performance model.

The site has been converted to the PERI system, which has resulted in a 10% increase in efficiency through smaller piece count requirements, ease of installation, and lightweight components. The project has remained incident-free for over a year and remains heavily focused on high productivity through safe work procedures.

Standard Scaffold provided a productivity-based reward model to supply and install insulation. Using this model, Standard was able to meet a critical timeline for plant start-up.

This model was an effective asset in getting the schedule back on track.

Standard Scaffold was awarded the insulation contract for 38 Modules for the Suncor Ft. Hills project at the Supreme Modular Fabrication yards. Our Industrial Insulation team completed the project on schedule, while maintaining an excellent safety record.

Productivity was the key factor for success for all stakeholders. The project schedule was compressed and altered on a regular basis by inconsistent piping deliveries and product QA/QC issues.

The flexibility and versatility of our workforce was showcased in our ability to mobilize as required and keep the project schedule on track. Standard provided excellent supply-chain coordination with JIT delivery of materials. We provided warehousing support, and managed the logistics, distribution, and documentation related to the materials.
